TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- A total of six people were injured, including two with serious injuries, after a three-vehicle crash in southern Travis County Friday, Austin-Travis County EMS confirmed in a series of tweets.Shortly before 5:30 p.m., ATCEMS medics and the Pedernales Fire Department responded to the crash at 918-2507 South Paleface Ranch Road, the tweet said. Medics said one person was pinned in their vehicle, but they were removed and was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center by STAR Flight with serious injuries. Furthermore, medics said another person with serious injuries was taken to South Austin Medical Center. Another person was taken to Baylor Scott and White Lakeway Hospital with minor injuries, medics said.The other three people involved refused transport, medics said. The shooting happened around 12:58 a.m. on the unit block of 37th Avenue. (KRON) -- A suspect was taken into custody on Thursday after a Vallejo woman was shot on April 4, the Vallejo Police Department said. The shooting happened at about 2:19 a.m. on the 100 block of Rounds Street. The pregnant victim was taken to a local hospital, received medical attention and gave birth to the baby, police said. (KRON) -- The Richardson Bay Regional Agency’s Board of Directors unanimously voted to reinstate the vessel buyback program to help incentivize boaters to move off environmentally sensitive waters.Originally adopted in June 2022, the Vessel Buyback Program offers money based on the length of their boat ($150 per foot) to move vessels off an established Eelgrass Protection Zone and other parts of Richardson Bay. An agreement reached between the RBRA and the Bay Conservation and Development Commission calls for removal of all illegally anchored vessels from Richardson Bay by 2026.Rather than relying on enforcement to remove vessels, the Vessel Buyback Program incentivizes vessel or floating homeowners to transfer their property to the RBRA.
