As good as Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers has been this season, there’s one area he can still improve in the eyes of his quarterback.Touchdown celebrations. After scoring the second touchdown of his NFL career — and his first on American soil — on a 3-yard pass from Lamar Jackson in the second quarter of Sunday night’s 20-10 win over the host Los Angeles Chargers, Flowers flipped the ball over his head as if it were a bouquet of flowers, mimicking the traditional post-wedding celebration. Left guard John Simpson caught the ball and handed it to wide receiver Rashod Bateman, who got down on one knee for a mock proposal. The scene did not impress Jackson, who was caught on NBC’s television cameras with a deadpan reaction as Flowers explained the choreography.“I told him I didn’t know what was going on,” Jackson said. “I was just standing there like, all right, come along with it, and then I seen what happened and I was like,...Ravens force 4 turnovers, hold off Chargers, 20-10, in ‘playoff atmosphere’ to retain top spot in AFC

Just 11 miles separate SoFi Stadium from Hollywood, and for much of Sunday night the Ravens’ game against the Chargers — particularly on offense — played out like a disjointed movie that leaves viewers wondering what they just watched. It followed a familiar script, with Baltimore’s defense playing the starring role. This time, though, there was an alternate ending.Unlike in the Ravens’ three losses this season, there was no blowing another fourth-quarter lead.Baltimore forced four turnovers, including one in the fourth quarter, another unexpected hero came through with a surprise blitz and a dazzling rookie scored a late electric touchdown to seal a 20-10 victory that was closer and more nerve-wracking than the final score indicated.“It meant a lot [for the offense to close out the game] because our defense was playing lights out all night,” Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said. “I’m grateful we have a great defense.”The R...Bill Belichick won’t rule out Patriots signing QB, kicker help
